interaction design

Moving Box

It is commonly accepted that our relation to inanimate objects is different than to biological entities. The focus of the workshop “transfigured design” was to look at humans affection to lifelike processes as a stylistic device. This is apparent for example in animated artefacts like the desktop lamp from Pixar. The output of our work was a moving and shaking box. Tests in the cafeteria proofed that even little movements provokes affection and curiosity in people.
